Life with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder [ADHD]
can be overwhelming.

Executive function challenges affect all aspects of life. If you are intelligent, ambitious, curious, creative and energetic, yet no matter how hard you work, you can't seem to keep on top of those critical tasks. Coaching could be your key to taking charge of your ADHD, overcoming weaknesses and embracing strengths.

 Executive function challenges can manifest as disorganisation, procrastination, lack of motivation, poor study habits, lateness, missed appointments and deadlines, strong emotions and sensitivity. Coaching through an "ADHD lens" allows clients to identify the ways ADHD shows up that are unique to their own lives and define the barriers preventing them from reaching their goals.

Coaching can bridge the gap between where clients are 'now' and where they would like to be. At FNQ ADHD, we work with clients to identify their strengths and values to develop self-compassion and awareness. A strengths-based approach means embracing traits like curiosity, creativity, and hyperfocus to find creative solutions that work with not against the ADHD brain.

Coaching can help;

  • Enhance positive self-identity and relationships

    Develop the awareness and skills to manage conflict, misunderstandings or behaviour patterns.

  • Provide Vocational or Academic support

    Understand personal cycles of disengagement, impulsivity and seeking stimulation. Identify executive function challenges and preferred processing modalities for sustained career or academic success.

  • Create life hacks / Personal organisation strategies

    Develop strategies and engineer your environment to support the ADHD brain. Navigate complex work, relationship, parenting, life admin and domestic tasks.

  • Address Self-limiting beliefs

    Unproductive thoughts impede progress, preventing those with ADHD from reaching potential.

  • Break the ADHD burnout cycle

    Intense hyperfocus and creativity are followed by fatigue, irritability, impulsivity, anxiety and poor mood.
